A nationally recognised FMCG manufacturer requires a hands-on, resourceful Maintenance Electrician in the Western Cape.
Candidates should have the relevant N3 Certificate, Red Seal Trade Test, Wireman’s License an advantage, and at least 5 years’ post apprenticeship experience within a Food Manufacturing environment. A stable track record a must.
Excellent knowledge of the following is essential: chain conveyors, V-belts, chain drives, PLC’s, and general mechanical repairs. A basic understanding of Freon and ammonia refrigeration plants will also be useful.
The incumbent will be responsible for attending breakdowns; fault-finding (on PLC’s & Freon refrigeration plants); new installations; planned and preventative maintenance and repairs (electrical, pneumatic & mechanical); and equipment inspections.
Individuals should be highly organised and attentive to detail with innovative problem-solving abilities.
