Job Function: Preparation of New Business cases for Private Wealth Managers, in line with compliance requirements

About the Role
In this role, you be responsible for supporting the Senior Private Wealth Manager with financial analysis and planning for all new business. As an experienced Paraplanner, you will provide support to the Senior Private Wealth Manager in the development and maintenance of client financial plans. Your work will provide detailed research, analysis of client’s financial circumstances, and preparation of financial planning recommendations and reports. This role does not include case preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Private Wealth Managers in the preparation and implementation of client financial plans.
  • Conduct financial research and analysis to assist in developing suitable client recommendations.
  • Prepare financial planning reports, investment proposals, and suitability documentation.
  • Ensure all client information and documentation are accurate, complete, and compliant.
  • Liaise with product providers, administrators, and internal stakeholders to facilitate business processing.
  • Monitor and track client transactions, applications, and servicing requests.
  • Maintain accurate client records and CRM data.
  • Contribute to delivering an exceptional client experience through efficient administrative and technical support.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Relevant financial planning or investment qualifications advantageous.
  • 2–5 years' experience in financial planning, wealth management, investments, paraplanning, or financial services administration.
  • Knowledge of investment products, retirement planning, and financial markets.
  • Experience preparing financial plans, suitability reports, or client recommendations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience working with CRM and financial planning software is advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Planning Support

  • Gather, analyse, and interpret client financial information.
  • Assist in preparing comprehensive financial plans and recommendations.
  • Conduct investment, product, and market research to support advice provided to clients.
  • Prepare cash flow models, retirement projections, and financial analysis as required.

Report Preparation & Documentation

  • Draft suitability reports, recommendation reports, investment proposals, and review documentation.
  • Prepare meeting packs and supporting documentation for client meetings.
  • Ensure all reports are accurate, compliant, and aligned with company standards.

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure client files meet regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and complete client records and documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding new clients and processing applications.
  • Monitor outstanding requirements and follow up on pending documentation.

Stakeholder & Provider Liaison

  • Liaise with product providers, administrators, and internal departments regarding client transactions and servicing matters.
  • Track business submissions and ensure timely processing and implementation.
  • Resolve administrative queries efficiently and professionally.

Client Service & Relationship Support

  • Support Private Wealth Managers in delivering exceptional client service.
  • Assist with client reviews and ongoing servicing requirements.
  • Respond to client and stakeholder queries in a professional and timely manner.

Professional Development

  • Stay informed of industry developments, regulatory changes, and financial planning best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the firm's products, services, and investment solutions.
