Job Description:
My client is looking for an experienced Operations Accountant to join their high-performing finance team. This role services the Urban Region (Western Cape), covering: Paarl, Wellington, Stellenbosch, Simondium, Sitari, Kraaifontein, Durbanville, Philippi, Franschhoek, St Helena Bay, Vredenburg, Malmesbury, Moorreesburg and Riebeeck West.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will oversee the financial and administrative functions of the Urban Trade Region.
• Monitoring and reporting on financial performance
• Supporting the regional manager with strategic and operational insights
• Ensuring accurate and timely monthly reporting
• Driving improvements in processes and systems
• Supporting annual budgets and feasibility assessments
• Assisting with audits and ensuring compliance
• Ensure stock counts are done and variances are reported accurately

 
 
Key requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BCom) or CIMA qualification
• 4+ years’ relevant experience in a financial/operations accounting role
• Strong systems knowledge with advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
• Proven ability to travel to multiple branches as required
• A self-starter with analytical acumen and strong stakeholder management skills
• Sound judgment in complex environments
• Results-driven with a high achievement orientation
• Self-aware with a strong sense of ownership
• Own transport is a non-negotiable requirement.
