Cullinan Area – Gauteng: Our client is looking for a Financial Manager to join the team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•  Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Financial Manager or similar role, preferably within the agriculture or food industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of various information systems and management thereof.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 

• Develop and maintain financial models, budgets, and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making processes.
• Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas of opportunity and risk, and providing recommendations for improvement.
• Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Collaborate with operational teams to develop and implement control measures and efficiency improvements.
• Conduct financial analysis on investment opportunities, capital expenditures, and new projects. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards and oversee the preparation of tax returns and other financial documentation.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financial transactions, optimizing liquidity and minimizing financial risk.
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
