Patensie Area – Eastern Cape: Our client is looking for a Farm Manager – Citrus & Vegetables to join the team.
 
Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•  Grade 12/ Matric
• At least 3 years previous farming experience
• Previous experience with citrus and vegetable production
• Computer literate – must have good working knowledge of MS Excel
• Experience/ knowledge of Global G.A.P., Siza Social & Siza Environmental Audit background
• Ability to work with and motivate a team
• Effective verbal and communication skills
• High level of commitment, accuracy and attention to quality
• Somebody who is self-disciplined, with a high level of integrity, is dedicated to precision farming and excellence.
• Must be someone with perseverance, who is hardworking and self-driven
• Ability to speak Xhosa advantageous
• Valid code 14 drivers license

 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

•  Management of personnel on farm
• Communication between staff and management
• Daily communication with warehouse manager regarding product availability
• Management of planting, fertilization, irrigation, spraying of lettuce and citrus
• Manage the harvesting processes of citrus and lettuce
• Record keeping for audits
• Basic mechanical maintenance of vehicles and implements.
