Brandfort Area – Free State: Our client is looking for a Rearing Manager to join the team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•  Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous
• Proven experience in animal rearing, will be a big advantage.
• Strong understanding of animal husbandry principles, nutrition, and health management.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to animal welfare, sustainability, and ethical farming practices.
• Valid driver’s license.

 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Manage the rearing process for chicks.
• Ensure proper feeding, nutrition, and care for optimal growth and health.
• Maintain accurate records and data on animal health, growth rates, and performance.
• Oversee environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity, and housing, to provide a conducive rearing environment.
• Train and supervise rearing staff to ensure adherence to protocols and best practices.
• Do small maintenance in and around rearing houses.
