Moamba Area – Mozambique: Our client is looking for a Ginger Farm Development & Plant Breeder to join the team.
 
Due to the remote location of the farm, this position would suit a mature couple or a couple with children who are home schooled or who go to boarding school

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 
Farm Development

•  Min Agricultural diploma and/or 4 years’ experience in ginger or vegetable farming
• Previous project management experience
• Proven Irrigation Management & Technical Installation experience (micro irrigation)
• Proven Chemical & Fertilizer application experience
• Computer literate essential (Excell)
• Excellent record keeping skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Maintenance and mechanically orientated
• Valid drivers license
• Valid Passport

•  Degree/qualification in Horticulture, science, plant genetics or related discipline
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience in evaluating fruit trees and fruit
• A strong background in genetics is essential
• Ability to problem solve and conduct cause analysis
• Computer literate
• Strong record keeping skills
• Must be willing to travel
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid passport
