Luanshya Area – Zambia: Our client is looking for a General Manager Production to join the team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantage if specialising in poultry & poultry production
• Adminitrative, management, poultry husbandry and poultry mechanical skills a must
• Leadership of work-force focusing on delivery of KPI’s with attention to detail
• Driven by costs controls, whilst ensuring effective and efficient operations
• Commercial poultry health and bio-security knowledge
• Experience in managing a similar commercial layer operation
• Promote discipline and accountabilty with a focus on building a productive team
• Computer literate, with reporting and data capturing ability
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position
• Initative, energetic and entusiactic
• Must have good referrences, quality personal habbits, and be able to work smart and hard

 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Answerable directly to the Managing Director
• Ability to report on Board level
• Manage the Heads of Departments i.e. Rearing Manager, Production Manager, Farm Veterinarian, Packshed Manager, & Feed Mill Superintendants
• Responsible for 600,000 commercial layers & 180,000 pullets
