Mkushi Area – Zambia: Our client is looking for a Macadamia Manager to join the team.

The Macadamia Manager will be responsible for the full day-to-day management of a 400-hectare macadamia orchard spread across two farms.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 

• Degree in Agriculture/horticulture preferred
• Minimum 2 years in orchard or row crop operations; macadamia experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in supervising labor and working with agricultural machinery.
• Basic knowledge of agronomy, irrigation, and orchard operations.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
 

• Plan and implement daily and weekly farm programs across both sites.
• Monitor orchard health, irrigation efficiency, and pest/disease risk.
• Execute nutrient programs, ground preparation, and spray schedules.
• Coordinate labor teams for pruning, slashing, and harvest activities.
• Support machinery use, servicing, and field record keeping.
• Supervise dehusking, drying, and nut handling logistics (to be phased in).
• Contribute to data collection, compliance records, and sustainability reporting.
• Participate in training and contribute to the development of operational systems.
• Communicate regularly with the management team, applying feedback to improve outcomes.
