Pretoria - Gauteng: An established beef farming and animal feed manufacturing operation based in Pretoria is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, cost analysis, and operational finance functions, with a strong focus on agriculture and feed manufacturing efficiencies, including animal feed conversion rates.
This role requires a detail-oriented finance professional who understands the link between financial performance and agricultural production operations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•  BCom degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles
• Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant financial accounting experience
• Experience in agriculture, feed manufacturing, or livestock operations
• Understanding of animal feed conversion ratios and production costing
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills
• Valid driver’s licence

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 

• Prepare and manage monthly financial reports and reconciliations
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Monitor and analyse production and feed cost structures
• Track and report on animal feed conversion rates and production efficiency
• Assist with management accounts and financial performance reporting
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Work closely with operational and farm management teams
• Support audits and statutory reporting requirements
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial processes
