Midlands area – KwaZulu Natal: Seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Dairy Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of a progressive dairy enterprise in the KZN Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional with strong leadership skills, an ability to work independently, and a passion for pasture-based dairy systems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 

• Agricultural diploma or degree  
• Experience with dairy management software  
• Mechanical aptitude  
• Proven experience managing a seasonal calving dairy herd 
• Proven ability to achieve exceptional breeding results
• Strong knowledge of pasture-based systems  
• Excellent leadership and communication skills  
• AI and herd health management experience  
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Ability to speak Zulu 
• Valid driver’s license  

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
 

• Full management of the dairy unit and herd performance  
• Implementation and oversight of seasonal calving programme  
• Pasture and grazing management  
• Staff supervision, training, and team leadership  
• Animal health, breeding, and record-keeping  
• Machinery and infrastructure oversight  
• Financial and fodder budgeting, reporting, and cost control
