Port Elizabeth area, Eastern Cape province – South Africa: Our client is looking for a Senior Packhouse Manager to join the team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Production or Agriculture (advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a packhouse / production / operations role (citrus).
• Proven experience managing teams
• Strong understanding of food safety, cold chain management, and HACCP principles
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Computer literate (Excel and Outlook)
• Valid driver’s license

• Planning and organising staff
• Monitoring and improving productivity
• Quality Management. Understanding of local and internal quality standards
• Maintain good food, as well as, and health and safety standards in the facility
• Staff management
• Continuous improvement
• Building credible relationships internal and external to the company
