Financial Reporting Manager: (Ref: FRM)
Duties & Responsibilities
The position requires a qualified and results driven individual to take on the permanent position of Financial Reporting Manager. The applicant must be energetic and dynamic person to assist in providing efficient and effective financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders of the WRC. The Financial Reporting Manager will be a member of the Finance Branch and report to the
Head: Financial Management.The Financial Reporting Manager will be accountable for the day-to-day management of the financial and management accounts, the implementation of efficient and effective internal controls and procedures and ensuring compliance with accounting and finance standards, best practices and applicable laws and regulations. In addition, the applicant will be responsible for the preparation of financial and management reporting, including the preparation of Annual Financial Statements, budgets and forecasting.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Applicants must be in possession of Honours Degree in Finance/Accounting / RPL Accredited Certification at NQF level 8 and be registered with a professional accounting body (SAICA/SAIPA/ACCA or CIMA). Minimum of five (5) years’ experience which includes audit, financial reporting and management accounting. Minimum of two (2) years’ people management or supervisory experience is required. Public Sector financial management experience, specifically with reference to GRAP and PFMA, will be an added advantage. In addition, the applicant must be efficient in MS Office and must have a solid knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practices.
