The Digital Marketer is responsible for bringing Signa Academy's marketing strategy and campaigns to life across social media, digital and website channels. This is a hands-on role covering day-to-day social media management, content creation, digital advertising, email marketing and website updates, with a strong focus on audience growth, engagement and measurable digital performance. The Digital Marketer works closely with the Marketing Coordinator, who owns overall marketing strategy, scripts and messaging, and with the Graphic Designer, translating that strategy into platform-ready content and campaigns. The ideal candidate is creative, digitally savvy, confident using AI tools, and takes initiative in identifying and acting on new digital opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree or diploma in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or equivalent.
- 1–3 years' experience in a social media or digital marketing role, preferably within B2B, education, skills development or professional services sectors.
- Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms and content calendars, including community management and audience growth.
- Proven experience running digital advertising campaigns and email marketing campaigns.
- Experience with website content updates, basic SEO, and digital analytics reporting.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools to support content creation, scheduling or research.
- Knowledge of the training/skills development environment would be valuable.
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
- Strong understanding of social media platform management, content calendars and community management.
- Proficiency in Canva and basic photo/video editing tools, with a creative eye and strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of digital advertising platforms (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Google Ads) and website/CMS tools (e.g. WordPress).
- Knowledge of Google Analytics or similar tools, with a data-driven approach to reporting and optimising digital performance.
- Experience with email marketing and/or CRM platforms.
- Confident using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to support content creation, scheduling, research and efficiency.
- Strong written communication skills, able to adapt brand voice, scripts and messaging into platform-specific content.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently, taking initiative to identify and act on new digital opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating across cross-functional teams.
- Project and time management skills — must be able to manage many moving parts and details at once.
- Ability to complete work within established time frames.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe duties include the following:
- Own the day-to-day management of Signa Academy's social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram - content planning, scheduling, publishing and community management).
- Build and maintain a social media and digital content calendar aligned with the marketing strategy and campaigns set by the Marketing Coordinator.
- Create and adapt digital content - graphics, short videos, and social posts - using photo/video editing tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, Premiere Pro, etc.), working from scripts and messaging provided by the Marketing Coordinator.
- Plan, implement and optimise paid digital campaigns (e.g. social media ads, Google Ads) within approved budgets.
- Manage email marketing campaigns end-to-end - building, scheduling, segmenting lists and tracking performance.
- Maintain and update the Signa Academy website, including content updates and general SEO housekeeping, in collaboration with the Marketing Coordinator and any relevant developers.
- Monitor social media and digital performance, compiling monthly and quarterly analytics reports (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite) and recommending improvements.
- Manage and get the most out of relevant digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, email marketing and CRM platforms).
- Use and integrate AI tools to strengthen content creation, scheduling, research and overall efficiency.
- Research and stay abreast of social media and digital marketing trends, proactively recommending new opportunities to grow Signa Academy's digital presence.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all digital and social touchpoints.
- Support the Marketing Coordinator with the digital elements of campaigns, product/programme launches and events (e.g. event promotion posts, livestreaming, digital invites).
- Manage multiple concurrent digital projects, campaigns and deadlines, keeping many moving parts on track at once.
