The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing Signa Academy's marketing strategy, with a strong focus on strategic planning, script and content writing, campaign development, and brand consistency. Should external creative or marketing partners be appointed in future, this role would act as the key internal point of contact, ensuring campaigns are briefed, delivered and reported on in line with the marketing strategy. The Marketing Coordinator works closely with the Social Media & Digital Marketer, Graphic Designer and Sales team to bring campaigns to life, but is not responsible for day-to-day social media platform management. The ideal candidate is a creative, strategic thinker who is confident using AI tools, takes initiative, and is comfortable owning marketing strategy from planning through to hands-on execution in a fast-paced B2B and/or education-sector environment.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications or equivalent.
- 2–4 years' experience in a fast-paced marketing environment, preferably within B2B, education, skills development or professional services sectors.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing marketing strategy and campaigns focused on recruitment/enrolment, partnerships and brand awareness.
- Proven experience writing scripts, copy and content across multiple formats and channels, including internal communications.
- Experience liaising with and briefing creative or marketing agencies.
- Experience maintaining organised content or asset libraries, including file management and usage rights records, would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools to support marketing strategy, content creation or research.
- Experience contributing to brand refresh or repositioning projects would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of B-BBEE and the training/skills development environment would be valuable.

- Excellent copywriting and scriptwriting skills across video, digital, presentation and print formats, as well as internal communications.

- Excellent understanding of the link between marketing and sales, particularly within a B2B environment.

- Proven ability to generate B2B content for multiple formats/uses and to execute campaigns in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe duties include the following:
- Develop and own the implementation of Signa Academy's marketing strategy, translating business and enrolment goals into practical, actionable campaigns and initiatives.
- Write scripts, copy and messaging for video, webinar, advertising, presentation and campaign content, ensuring a consistent brand voice across formats.
- Write and coordinate internal communications copy (e.g. staff updates, internal announcements and memos), ensuring messaging is clear and aligned with brand tone.
- Where external creative or marketing partners are engaged, act as the primary internal point of contact — briefing campaigns, reviewing deliverables and ensuring work aligns with brand guidelines and business objectives.
- Plan and coordinate multi-channel marketing campaigns focused on learner recruitment, partnerships and brand awareness, in line with the marketing strategy.
- Partner closely with the Social Media & Digital Marketer to ensure messaging, campaign timing and brand voice are aligned across social and digital channels (day-to-day platform management sits with that role).
- Develop and produce marketing collateral and B2B content — presentations, brochures, case studies, newsletters and sales support materials.
- Maintain an organised, accessible content library for marketing assets, with consistent file naming, tagging, version control, and clear records of usage rights and creator permissions.
- Lead lead-generation campaigns end-to-end, from strategy and concept through to execution and reporting on results.
- Maintain and evolve Signa Academy's brand and corporate identity, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity across recruitment, partnerships and stakeholder touchpoints.
- Coordinate event promotions, trade shows, product/programme launches and multimedia content creation, working closely with internal teams and, where relevant, external design agencies or contractors.
- Use and integrate AI tools to strengthen strategy development, script and content writing, research and overall efficiency.
- Conduct ongoing market and competitor research to inform strategy and identify new marketing opportunities, bringing forward proactive recommendations.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, preparing monthly and quarterly reports for management.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, campaigns and deadlines, keeping many moving parts on track at once.
