DATA ANALYST INTERNS - GAUTENG

Gijima is recruiting 4 x Data Analyst interns for a 12-month internship, in Midrand.

The criteria is as follows: -

• Candidates must have completed a 3-year tertiary qualification (National diploma, degree, diploma) in IT (i.e. Information Systems, Information Technology, Informatics, Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science)
• Candidates must be computer literate and must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Candidates must have NO criminal record
• Candidates must currently be unemployed
• Candidates must not be participating on another learnership or internship program
• Candidates must not be studying at any other institution (including distance learning)
• Candidates must live in the greater Midrand area (relocation is NOT an option)
• Candidates must be under the age of 35 as of 1 April 2026
• Candidates must be a South African Citizen – African, White, Coloured and Indian

Competencies/Skills Required: -

• Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation)
• Strong numerical and analytical capability
• Meticulous with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Data governance discipline
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Possess excellent command of the English language
• Good problem-solving skills
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work in a team

Additional skills: -
It would be advantageous if candidates have the following skills: -

• Exposure to HRIS platforms (SAP, Oracle, Sage or similar)
• Power BI or Data Visualisation Exposure
• Understanding of South African Labour Legislation and HR Reporting Frameworks
