IT INTERNS – WEST RAND
Closing date Monday 1 June 2026.
Gijima is currently recruiting IT interns in the West Rand for the following positions – 1 x IT support Intern, 1 x Junior Software Developer Intern and 1 x Product Ops Intern.

The criteria is as follows: -

• Candidates must have completed a 3-year tertiary qualification (National diploma, degree, diploma) in IT (i.e. Information Systems, Information Technology, Informatics, Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science)
• Candidates must be computer literate and must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Candidates must have NO criminal record

• Candidates must currently be unemployed
• Candidates must not be participating on another learnership or internship program
• Candidates must not be studying at any other institution (including distance learning)
• Candidates must live in the greater West Rand (Roodepoort, Krugersdorp, Florida) (relocation is NOT an option)
• Candidates must be under the age of 35 as of 1 June 2026
• Candidates must be a South African Citizen – African, White, Coloured and Indian

Key Performance Areas for Support Intern: -

• Desktop hardware and software support
• Repairs, upgrades and maintenance
• Printer and network support
• Reporting and documentation
• Assist with hardware and software audits

Core Requirements for Junior Software Developer Intern: -

• Knowledge of MERN stack – MongoDB, Express js, React js, Node.js, Express and Typescript
• Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.

Core Requirements for Product Ops Intern: -

• Customer Support and CRM tools (Zoho CRM, HubSpot or similar)
• Product and Project Management tools (Trello, Asana, ClickUp or similar)
• Basic computer literacy – Google Sheets or Excel, Google Docs or Microsoft Word, Slack, MS Teams, Zoom, Google Meet

General Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent command of the English language
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Good time management
