The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues, both in person and remotely.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems promptly to minimise downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement solutions for complex technical issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, configurations, and user issues.
- Assist in the setup and support of audio-visual equipment and conference room systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and industry developments related to desktop support.
- South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34
- Must not have participated on the YES Programme before
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in relevant IT fields will be to your advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
