NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Qualified CA(SA) with 5+ years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Group Financial Manager / Group Finance experience.
  • Proven experience in Group consolidations and IFRS.
  • Experienced in managing the full audit process.

ROLE OVERVIEW: 

The Group Financial Manager will oversee Group finance, reporting, consolidations, audits and financial controls across multiple entities.
The role will provide senior financial leadership and support strategic and commercial decision-making across the Group.

Minimum requirements:
  • Qualified CA(SA) with 5+ years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Proven Group Financial Manager / Group Finance experience.
  • Proven experience in Group consolidations and IFRS.
  • Experience managing the full audit process from planning through to final sign-off.
  • Experience managing finance teams across multiple entities or divisions, including Debtors and Creditors.
  • Strong financial reporting, governance and internal control experience.
  • Manufacturing, industrial, engineering, production or distribution experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience within a complex, large-revenue environment.
  • African subsidiaries, cross-border or multi-country finance experience advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel locally and into Africa as required.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Group Finance function across multiple legal entities and business divisions.
  • Manage financial responsibility for a Group with approximately R4 billion in annual revenue.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual Group financial reports.
  • Manage the Group consolidation process.
  • Oversee cash flow, financial controls and Group reporting requirements.
  • Lead the broader finance function, including Debtors, Creditors and finance support teams.
  • Manage the full audit process from planning through to final sign-off and resolve audit queries.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Provide financial oversight to African operations and subsidiaries.
  • Work closely with Treasury, Procurement and other central support functions.
  • Review financial performance, identify risks and implement corrective action.
  • Maintain effective relationships with auditors, senior management and operational stakeholders.
  • Ensure Group financial policies, procedures and internal controls are consistently applied.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support commercial and strategic decision-making.
  • Undertake local and African travel as required.
