Project Manager – Building Construction Projects
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to oversee and manage building construction projects from inception through to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.
Please note: Only Pretoria-based applicants will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple building construction projects.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Oversee site activities to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Manage contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Ensure compliance with construction regulations, health and safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and project progress meetings.
  • Monitor project costs and manage budget expenditure.
  • Prepare project reports and provide regular updates to management and clients.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve site-related challenges and ensure minimal disruption to project timelines.
  • Manage contract administration and project documentation.
  • Ensure successful project handover and close-out procedures.
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Science, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing commercial, residential, or industrial building construction projects.
  • Proven experience delivering projects from planning to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, regulations, and project management principles.
  • Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
  • Must be based in Pretoria.
