Purpose of the role:

• Supporting the Senior Manager in the mining division in managing the resources and investigating breaches of security, emergency, and contractor management.
• Initiating and managing systems within the Division to minimizing risks relating to the security of employees and assets , contractor management, and emergency.
• Managing all day shift operations.

Position:                           Superintendent Security &Emergency Services.
Industry:                          Mining Industry.
Location:                         Phalaborwa, Limpopo South Africa.
Salary:                               Market related.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12.
• Degree in Safety Management/Public Management/ Policing.
• Certificate in Emergency Services/ Related qualification.
• Applicable Firearm Unit Standards will be an advantage.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Registered with PSIRA Grade A.

 
Experience:

• 5 to 10 years’ experience in a middle management position in a security and emergency management role in the mining environment.
• 5 tom 10 years’ experience in the SHEQ industry.

 
Responsibilities:

• Management and support for implementation of best practises in Security services and contractor management in the mining environment.
• Coordinating the asset protection services in the mining management section.
• Monitoring the security , Contractor management and emergency indicators and trends in the mining section and identifying optimization management.
