Litigation Attorney

We are seeking a well-rounded and experienced Attorney to manage a diverse portfolio of legal matters across multiple forums. The role requires strong litigation, drafting, and advisory skills, with exposure to both private and corporate clients.

Minimum requirements:

• LLB degree
• Admitted Attorney of the High Court
• Minimum 4 years’ post-admission experience
• Proven experience in litigation and dispute resolution
• Strong drafting and legal research skills

Litigation & Court Appearances

• Represent clients in various forums, including the High Court, Regional Court, Maintenance Court, Domestic Violence Court, Traffic Court, CCMA, Labour Court, CSOS, and Municipal Courts/Boards
• Manage matters from inception through to finalisation

Case Management

• Handle a broad range of civil matters, including
• Commercial and contract disputes
• Construction and lease disputes
• Conveyancing contractual disputes
• Debt collection matters
• Family law matters (divorces and maintenance disputes)
• Labour and employment-related disputes

Drafting & Legal Documentation

• Draft and review legal documents, including
• Pleadings, notices, affidavits
• Practice notes and heads of argument
• Legal agreements (employment contracts, SLAs, leases, sale agreements, acknowledgements of debt, settlement agreements, mandates, etc.)

Advisory & Opinions

• Provide legal opinions on a wide range of matters
• Act as a trusted legal advisor to clients, including corporate entities

Negotiation & Client Engagement

• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Provide practical, commercially sound legal advice
