Human Resource Manager (HR Manager)
Location: Brooklyn, Gauteng
Salary: Market Related

A well-established and reputable law firm based in Brooklyn, Gauteng, is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full HR function within the firm, ensuring effective implementation of HR processes, policies and procedures, while maintaining compliance with applicable labour legislation

Minimum Requirements

• HR Degree or relevant NQF equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ HR experience after completing your qualification
• 5–10 years’ experience in an HR Generalist role preferred
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in Labour Law
• Experience managing employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievances, CCMA and Labour Court matters
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment advantageous
• Project management experience advantageous
• Strong Microsoft Office and intermediate Excel skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
• Strong drafting, organisational and interpersonal skills
• Own reliable transport
• Valid South African citizenship or work permit
• Willingness to work overtime and attend to after-hours calls when required

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full HR function and daily HR administration
• Manage the employee lifecycle from recruitment to termination
• Ensure compliance with labour legislation and company policies
• Manage performance, employee relations and skills development
• Handle disciplinary and grievance processes
• Assist with CCMA and Labour Court matters
• Support management with HR advice and identify potential HR risks
• Assist with conflict resolution and employee wellbeing
• Support employee development, retention and organisational culture
