A well-established Law Firm is looking for an experienced EDC Portfolio Manager to take ownership of outsourced debt recovery portfolios, drive vendor performance and maximise recoveries.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• 5–8 years’ experience in debt collections/recoveries
• Minimum 3 years’ experience managing outsourced debt collection agencies/vendors
• Experience across secured, unsecured, legal and/or post-judgment portfolios
• Strong knowledge of South African collections legislation and practices
• Proven experience managing KPIs, SLAs, recovery targets and vendor performance
• Strong analytical, reporting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced Excel and experience with collection systems such as Excalibur/Cheetah advantageous
• Experience in a banking, retail credit or financial services environment advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee a portfolio of outsourced delinquent accounts
• Drive EDC performance against recovery targets, KPIs and SLAs
• Build and manage strong relationships with external collection agencies
• Analyse portfolio performance, identify trends and implement improvement strategies
• Manage escalations, queries, account allocation and portfolio balancing
• Monitor vendor compliance with NCA, Debt Collectors Act, POPIA and applicable legislation
• Conduct performance reviews, audits and ongoing vendor monitoring
• Provide management with performance reports, insights and recommendations
• Identify opportunities to improve recovery strategies, vendor efficiency and overall portfolio performance
