Franschhoek: My client, a contemporary restaurant based in the Franschhoek area, is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie who is motivated to grow within a world-class kitchen and support senior chefs with high-quality preparation, plating and section readiness. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in culinary techniques and a desire to further develop their skills in an upmarket setting.
Purpose of the Role:  Support senior chefs in food preparation, service, and section organisation within a high-end kitchen.
 
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • Preparing ingredients and assisting senior chefs
  • Operating within assigned section efficiently
  • Maintaining workstation cleanliness and readiness
  • Supporting service delivery and plating
  • Ensuring adherence to kitchen safety and hygiene
Criteria
  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Relevant culinary certificate or diploma
  • Strong technical abilities and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistency
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and professional kitchen standards
  • Willingness to learn, collaborate and maintain high kitchen standards
 
Market related salary / flexible hospitality hours apply / this role is reserved for a Chef who reside in or within close proximity to Franschhoek
