JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 4 Years experience as Trainee Millwright / Fitter & Turner (Apprenticeship) within the FOOD MANUFACTURING industry;
• Completed Trade Test;
• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering – N6;
• 3 - 5 Years post Apprenticeship experience as Millwright/ Fitter & Turner, of which at least 1 year must be in a Leadership

Responsibilities:

Production Plant Reliability – Ensure and manage maintenance and maintenance schedules, assign Contractors, minimize downtime;

Production Plant Optimization – Analyse Plant performance, implement cost saving initiatives, implement performance improvement CAPEX projects;

Engineering Team Leadership – Manage team, daily activities and HR related matters;

Budgets and Administration – Manage budgets, review budgets vs actual financial reports;

Project Management – Work closely with Plant and Project Engineer on feasibility of projects;

Repairs and Overhauls – Coordinate and manage major overhauls;

Stock control – Control distribution of equipment and supplies;

Information and data management – Review data captured accurately and report back to management;

Health and Safety – Manage Health and Safety of equipment and ensure safe work environment.
