A breathtaking Family- Styled lodge is looking for an EXECUTIVE CHEF
Located in South Africa’s malaria-free Waterberg region is home to two luxury lodges. The one Lodge offers 58 rooms, including luxury suites with plunge pools, a spa, fitness center, and family-friendly programs. The second lodge features 25 upscale suites, some with private hot tubs and plunge pools, and a lavish presidential suite with butler service. Both lodges offer twice-daily game drives to view the Big Five and emphasize wildlife conservation, especially of white rhinos. The reserve is a scenic three-hour drive from Johannesburg or a short trip from Bela Bela.
TWO CHEFS NEEDED- One would focus on Buffet style for large groups, and the other vacancy is for an A La Carte Chef!

Candidate Requirements:
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience in a 5* premium lodge!
  • Must be prepared to work in a remote area, including adaptability required in such an environment
  • Valid driver’s License & own transport is advised
  • Good computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Responsible for the preparation, cooking and presentation of all food items in accordance with laid down minimum standards as required
  • Must be able to do the purchasing, checking of goods and packing of all relevant storage facilities
  • Serve a high standard for breakfast, lunch and dinner 
  • Ensure quality & efficiency of food & service to customers is at its highest levels always
  • Must be strong in food stock control and keep wastage to a minimum
  • Good financial acumen is required
  • Some administration duties- Able to draft staff rosters and staff registers. Manage labour relations as required. Manage large staff complement
  • Manage suppliers & deliveries as required
  • Be able to run various functions at the same time
  • Ensure all food service areas are maintained in accordance with company standards & hygiene requirements.
