Host (Duty Manager) – Ballito
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and guest-focused Host (Duty Manager) to oversee the guest experience and daily operations during their shift.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the in-house guest experience and provide personalised, professional service
• Anticipate guest needs, manage special requests and resolve concerns effectively
• Oversee Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping and Spa operations during the shift
• Ensure smooth service flow and maintain high service and presentation standards
• Conduct regular checks of guest rooms, public areas and dining spaces
• Lead by example, support and guide team members, and ensure effective interdepartmental communication
• Assist with Opera Cloud and Micros where required
• Support reporting, handovers, guest records, and night audit when scheduled
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and company procedures

 
Requirements

• Previous experience in a guest-facing hospitality role
• Luxury or boutique hotel experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a natural guest-focused approach
• Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings
• Calm under pressure with good decision-making skills
• Hands-on, professional, well-presented and willing to support across departments
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Knowledge of Opera Cloud and Micros advantageous
