Our client, based in Boksburg within the engineering sector, is seeking a recently qualified Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (BEng Mechanical Engineering) or Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (BSc (Eng) Mechanical Engineering) recent graduate to join their team for an 18-month internship.

The successful candidate should be eager to gain hands-on, practical experience and motivated to launch their engineering career in a dynamic and technical environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with design work, calculations, and analysis of technical drawings.
• Conduct outbound sales calls and lead negotiations with prospective clients.
• Develop project plans and manage implementation accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development through mentorship and training.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Participate in project planning, coordination, and progress tracking.
• Conduct research, data analysis, and technical reporting to support ongoing projects.

Requirements

• Completed or recently graduated with a BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering
• Certificate in Project Planning or completed Course in Project Planning.
• MS Office proficiency
• Driver's License is essential
• Basic knowledge of engineering design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB, or similar – advantageous)
• Willingness to travel or work on-site if required.
