A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their 2 children
Area: Broadacres
Children’s Ages: 11 years old (Grade 5), 15 years old (Grade 8) Child’s Neurodivergence Snapshot: Eldest child as transitioned from a neurodiverse school to a mainstream school, he has not been formally diagnosed with any Neurodiverse needs. He needs assistance with structure and organisation. Needs support with reading, processing information. His previous school feels he is on track and able to go back into a mainstream school, just needs support and guidance to keep him on track.
Support Style: He does not attend any therapies; we work closely with his doctor over the years who has been assisting with his medications.
Working hours: Monday – Friday 15:00 – 18:00 (slightly flexible around school terms and extra murals)
School holiday hours: Same as above / Slightly Flexible
Duties: Collect from school, take to extra-murals, assist with and supervise homework, ensure both children understand their work and assisting them in any areas they may need extra support, help them to study and prepare for all test and exams, Engaging in intellectually stimulating play & activities with child.
Special Requirements: Experience with neurodiverse children would be advantageous.
Start Date and contract term: 15 January – permanent
Salary: R10 000pm (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.76)
All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:
**** Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
****Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
****Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
****Must have a clear criminal record
****Must have a passion for children
****Must have Matric
****Must have a South African ID document.
