Bilnor Staffing Solutions' client in the Engineering sector is seeking an experienced Sales Representative with proven product-specific sales experience to join their team in Modderfontein, Gauteng. South African Citizens and candidates living in the area will be preferred.

This role is specifically suited to candidates who have hands-on sales experience selling pumps, electric motors and gearboxes. General sales representative experience alone will not be sufficient.
The successful candidate will convert pre-qualified leads into new customers and develop existing clients into repeat business. They must be driven, hard-working and confident in selling technical industrial products, understanding customer requirements and closing deals.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Selling and promoting pumps, electric motors and gearboxes to customers.
• Answering phone calls, communicating with customers, making calls to potential customers and following up on leads.
• Creating customer accounts on Pastel.
• Creating quotes and job cards based on customer requirements.
• Following up on quotes to ensure customer needs are met, quoted details are correct and orders are secured.
• Following up until customers receive their stock and tracking back orders.
• Managing the full order entry process from quotation through to delivery.
• Maintaining strong product and stock knowledge, specifically relating to pumps, electric motors, gearboxes and associated products.
• Understanding company product features and benefits, as well as competitor/opposition products.
• Monitoring warehouse stock levels and maintaining an accurate understanding of stock quantities.
• Attending to walk-in customers and providing product assistance.
• Assisting with delivery planning.
• Managing all sales-related queries.
• Working closely with external sales representatives and providing sales support.
• Compiling purchase orders according to the required PO procedure.
• Providing client feedback regarding outstanding or completed quotes/jobs within 24–48 hours.
• Processing GRVs.
• Assisting with and participating in stock takes.
• Processing journal entries relating to stock adjustments and modifications.
• Ensuring debtor information is kept up to date.
• Managing all forms of communication, including email, WhatsApp and telephone calls.
• Maintaining a neat and professional front desk.

Experience and Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' proven sales experience.
• Candidates must have direct experience selling pumps, electric motors and/or gearboxes. General sales experience without this specific product knowledge will not be considered sufficient.
• Experience in selling heavy-duty industrial equipment, components and parts will be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of industrial pump, electric motor and gearbox products, applications and competitor products.
• Pastel Partner experience.
• Microsoft Office experience, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Grade 12.
• Live within a 15–20 km radius of Modderfontein.
• Valid driver's licence and own vehicle.
• South African Citizen preferred.
