We are seeking a driven and resilient Call Centre Agent to join our dynamic team within the Foreclosure & Secured Asset Litigation Department.

This role focuses on engaging with home loan debtors to secure payment arrangements, identify rehabilitation opportunities, and improve overall portfolio performance. 

This position is based in Pretoria East.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively engage with home loan debtors to negotiate and conclude payment arrangements
• Assess debtor affordability and willingness to pay
• Identify and facilitate Debt Care Centre (DCC) referrals and EasySell opportunities
• Determine and implement the most appropriate recovery strategy per account
• Handle both inbound and outbound calls efficiently
• Maintain accurate records and detailed system notes
• Work towards and consistently achieve monthly performance targets

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ collections experience within a banking or financial services environment
• Proven ability to negotiate and close payment arrangements
• Experience dealing with financially distressed customers
• Experience collecting on home loan or secured lending portfolios (highly advantageous)
• Exposure to legal (late-stage) accounts advantageous
• Experience on Standard Bank books and CACS system preferred
• Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work overtime when required

• Working knowledge of CACS / SB Legal / CLF Legal systems (essential)
• Experience with Ghost Practice or Lexpro advantageous

Remuneration

• Basic Salary: ± R12,000 per month
• Commission eligibility upon permanent employment (performance-based)
