We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior IT Technician to join our dynamic IT team. This role is ideal for a technically strong individual who thrives in a fast-paced, call centre-driven environment and is confident managing complex infrastructure and support operations.

This is an on-site position based in Pretoria East.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Relevant IT certifications such as A+ and N+
  • Office 365 certification (essential)
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in IT support, preferably within a call centre environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the IT ticketing system, ensuring efficient prioritisation, resolution, and escalation in line with SLA requirements
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and support junior team members
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with stakeholders throughout incidents and projects
  • Oversee server infrastructure, including maintenance, optimisation, backups, and disaster recovery readiness
  • Lead and contribute to IT projects from planning through to delivery
  • Manage network and security infrastructure, including firewalls, antivirus, and monitoring systems
  • Conduct system audits and health checks across critical environments
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and system reliability
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, policies, and best practices

Technical Experience

  • Server support across Windows and Linux environments
  • Hyper-V, including replication, backup, and disaster recovery
  • Terminal Services environments
  • Windows workstation support, with macOS exposure advantageous
  • Office 365 administration and tenant management
  • Network infrastructure, including Meraki, firewalls, and UniFi or similar switches
  • Strong understanding of IT security principles

Advantageous Skills

  • Experience with EDC Excalibur Euphoria (dialler systems)
  • Understanding of call centre systems and operations
  • Basic to intermediate SQL scripting and maintenance
