Ergasia Placements is recruiting an experienced and driven HR Officer on behalf of a dynamic organisation operating within a fast-paced contact centre environment.
This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on HR professional with strong experience across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, and employee engagement.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Relevant Human Resources Degree or Diploma.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an HR Officer or HR Generalist (internship experience will not be considered).
- Proven experience managing end-to-end bulk recruitment in a high-volume environment.
- Strong Employee Relations experience, including disciplinary, grievance, incapacity, and performance management processes.
- Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation, including the BCEA, LRA, and EEA.
- Minimum 2 years' experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience within a call centre or contact centre environment will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment, Selection & Onboarding
- Manage the full recruitment process from advertising and screening through to appointment and onboarding.
- Conduct interviews, coordinate assessments, and complete pre-employment checks.
- Draft and maintain job descriptions and recruitment advertisements.
- Coordinate onboarding documentation and employee records.
- Manage learnerships, internships, and youth development programmes.
Employee Relations
- Provide HR guidance and support to employees and management.
- Coordinate disciplinary hearings, grievances, incapacity processes, and poor performance management.
- Conduct exit interviews and provide trend analysis and recommendations.
Performance Management
- Manage probation reviews and support performance management initiatives.
- Ensure fair and consistent application of performance improvement processes.
HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Manage HR queries professionally and within required service levels.
- Prepare and maintain HR reports and workforce statistics.
Employee Engagement & Wellness
- Support employee wellness and engagement initiatives.
- Drive activities that promote a positive and high-performing workplace culture.
- Identify opportunities to enhance employee experience and organisational effectiveness.
Reporting & Business Support
- Compile and analyse HR reports and metrics.
- Support workforce planning, talent acquisition, retention, and organisational development initiatives.
- Partner with management to drive people-related business objectives.
