Underberg Area – KZN – an exciting opportunity awaits the successful candidate

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Agricultural Diploma / Degree advantageous
• Min of 3 years’ experience in dairy farming
• Min of 3 years’ experience with pasture management
• Ability to speak Zulu/Xhosa
• Computer literate

Duties including but not limited to:

• Management of morning and afternoon milking sessions
• Management of Dry Cows, Steam Up Cows and mating groups.
• Management of feeding across all animals
• Pasture allocation and daily management
• Management of all Animal Health Programs, including
• Vaccine schedules
• Vet runs
• Sick cows
• Allocation of tasks to specified staff including follow up and supervision
• Management of on farm data capture and record keeping.
• Produce and present operations report for monthly management meetings
• Oversight on general farm work and equipment
• Expectation to follow all company procedures and compliance with specified laws
