JHB/Potchefstroom/Krugersdorp Area – Gauteng: The successful incumbent will be responsible for the overall management and leadership functions on the farm.

The individual candidate should be passed in Johannesburg or Potchefstroom or Krugersdorp and should be prepared to travel between JHN, Bronkhorstspruit and Carletonville.
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Agricultural Diploma/Degree, essential
• Additional qualification in business management or admin advantageous
• Min of 10 years in previous/similar role
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Exceptional leadership and management experience, with good interpersonal communication skills
• Computer literate
• Proven budgeting experience
• Must be pro-active and able to meet deadlines
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be prepared to travel
• Must be self-disciplined, a team player, honest and of high integrity

 
Duties including but not limited to:

• Planning, implementation and monitoring of the total production process, with a strategic direction
• Ensure achievement of production targets by preparing plans and schedules for planting and harvesting
• Ensure accurate reports
• Implement control measures to ensure that overheads are controlled to budget and continuously strive to reduce costs through enhanced efficiencies
• Ensure that safe working procedures are adhered to at all times
• Ensure harvesting, spray programs, new orchard developments, irrigation, etc. are managed effectively
• Ensure that assets are well maintained and are kept in 100% operational conditions at all times
• Must maintain professional networks and keep abreast of development in agricultural science
• Must be able to ensure the sound industrial relations practices with regards to employees and other
