Marble Hall/ Groblersdal area – Limpopo: Our client is looking for an Irrigation Specialist to join the team.
Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• BSc Agric or relevant degree in Agriculture/Soil Science
• Knowledge of soil science
• Experience in water related management
• Experience in crop production
• Computer literate
• Excellent communication skills
• Bilingual

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, design, install and maintain of irrigation of scheduling probes and automatic weather stations on a wide range of crops
• Assess the suitability of an irrigation system for the soil type and crop
• Scheduling via capacitance probes on designated Irricheck platform
• Feedback to farmers/clients
• Drafting of drainage layout
• Drafting of irrigation blocks based on the physical characteristics of the soil
• Indicate appropriate probe positions based on the physical characteristics of the soil
