Hoedspruit Area – Limpopo: Our client is looking for a Senior Grower to join the team.
Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Agricultural Degree/ Diploma
• 10 Years’ Experience with Tomato Farming,
• 4 years of which to be in a senior management position.
• Knowledge of all Staff Management Aspects
• Basic understanding of the Basic Conditions of Employment as well as Labour Law
• Computer literate
• Being maintenance orientated
• Valid driver’s license

 DUTIES

• All year production of Tomatoes, Peppers and Herbs.
• Hands on experience with Global Gap and OHS.
• All Fertigation applications and documentation related; ideal candidate would have knowledge and understanding of plant fertigation requirements at various stages of growth as well as plant health knowledge
• Sound knowledge of Fungicide, Pesticide & Herbicide applications as well as related documentation; knowledge and ability to scout for diseases and pests and determine the correct application; AVCASA would be advantageous
• Basic knowledge of mechanical work
• Basic equipment maintenance
• Understanding and ability to execute Soil & Plant Preparations.
• Excellent Communication & Reporting skills
• Able to Manage all Planting, Plant Maintenance & Harvesting
