Citrusdal Area – Western Cape: Our client is looking for an Assistant Manager to join the team.
 
This position is made up of 2 core functions: Packshed coordinator & Systems developer.
 
Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Degree in Data science.
• No work experience required.
• Valid license, preferably Code 10

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Familiar with Business Intelligence
• An ability to understand and articulate the role of information systems in organizations.
• Expertise with various information systems concepts and tools.
• The ability to analyse business problems and identify potential solutions using information systems.
• The ability to design, implement, and evaluate information systems solutions for business problems.

PACKSHED CO-ORDINATOR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
 

• Managing the flow off instructions and transferring understanding.
• Managing communication systems, preventing or quickly and efficiently correcting communication breakdowns.
• Reporting on communication failure.

1. Developing and implementing corrective action and new SOP’s.

• Ensuring excellent co-ordination between Packsheds and the company marketing.
• Overseeing Packshed systems and Managing Packshed/Marketing platforms.
• Providing marketing support to company marketing.

PACKSHED CO-ORDINATOR DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
 

• Production
• Marketing
• Communication systems & channels
• Packshed Systems and Platforms
• Packshed Technical

 SYSTEMS DEVELPER CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
 Primarily:

• • Management of company systems
  • Building Platforms, Dashboards, and BI systems
  • Certification and accreditation.
  • Training of Staff
  • Assisting in new projects

 Secondary:

• • Creating job profiles and descriptions
  • Assisting in Fertigation and Crop Protection.
  • Assisting in trials.

SYSTEM DEVELOPER DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
 

• Assist in designing and implementing the systems and data required for operational and technical efficiency on the farms.
• Assist in data collection, evaluation and presentation to the Production and Packshed Managers.
• Assist with the implementation and management of GlobalGAP and SIZA compliance requirements.
• Work closely with the General Manager when it comes to compliance requirements and staff related matters.
• Assist in the research, planning and implementation of new projects.
• Assist in conducting soil correction research and irrigation design surveys.
• Assist in Implementing the plans for new projects.
• Assist in training of the teams required for each production unit.
• Assist in ensure each unit is managerial and operationally identical.
• Assist in specific and production focused research to improve all aspects of our current production systems as well as any other potential production.
• Assist in reviewing and making recommendations to improve all aspects of the production of cut flowers.
• Assist with the development and implementation of systems throughout the business.
• Assist in conducting cost saving exercises: fixed and movable assets, products, chemicals, materials – anything related to the farms.
