Hertzogville Area – Free State: Our client is looking for a Farm Management Couple – Livestock, Cropping & Admin to join the team.

Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Proven experience in farm management, preferably with both crop and livestock operations.
  • Strong knowledge of dryland maize production, cattle and sheep farming, and grazing practices.
  • Competency in using modern agricultural technology and equipment.
  • Ability to collaborate with ownership on strategic optimisation initiatives.
  • Exceptional organisational and leadership skills, with an eye for detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial management in farming operations.
  • Preference will be given to a husband-and-wife team with complementary skills.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
 
  • Farm Operations & Management: Oversee day-to-day operations across crop production, livestock management, and equipment utilisation.
  • Develop and implement intensive grazing practices to optimise land use and improve output.
  • Land Optimisation & Productivity: Collaborate closely with the owners to identify and implement initiatives for farm optimisation.
  • Monitor soil health, crop yields, and livestock productivity, leveraging data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Technology Utilisation: Operate and maintain state-of-the-art tractors and agricultural equipment.
  • Stay updated on advancements in agricultural technology to improve operational efficiency.
  • Neatness & Asset Maintenance: Maintain the farm’s infrastructure, equipment, and fields to ensure they remain in pristine condition.
  • Proactively drive neatness and upkeep standards to reflect the farm’s status as a high-value asset.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage farm workers, providing clear direction, training, and support. Foster a culture of excellence, safety, and accountability.
