Mpongwe Area – Zambia: Our client seeks to employ a Management Accountant.
The successful candidate will be responsible to manage and implement all aspects of the groups financial and accounting management requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a management accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and data analysis tools, with a focus on SAGE.
- Experience with and ability to utilize modern technology and systems to monitor compliance and reporting.
- Certification in additional finance related fields is advantageous.
- Valid Drivers License.

- Proven experience as a management accountant.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and implement various accounting and financial monitoring programs.
- Knowledge of local laws and regulations, relating to taxation, financial reporting and regulation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
- Assist with budgeting and optimising use of available resources.
- Identify and analyse areas for more efficient use of resources.
- Put in place systems to monitor and ensure the correct implementation of a variety of budgets.
- Develop short and long term forecasts.
- Manage and optimise cash inflows and outflows. Analyse costings, rate of return and the economic attractiveness of potential expansion projects.
- Aid in strategic decision-making by evaluating business performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and monitor financial risks within the group.
- Co-ordinate income and expenditure to preserve liquidity and cash flows.
- Ensure fiscal discipline across the group’s operations by implementing systems which monitor and control irregular and unnecessary spending.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports and ensure all reporting deadlines are adhered to.
- Identify and implement systems to reduce costs, without compromising quality or operational

- Develop and maintain financial models to support long-term business planning and scenario analysis.
- Analyse budget variances, investigate discrepancies and propose corrective actions to optimize
