A national healthcare organisation within the medical devices and surgical equipment sector is seeking a Receptionist / Administrator to join their team in Kempton Park, Gauteng.
The role reports to the Operations Manager.
The purpose of the role is to manage the front desk and provide efficient administrative support to ensure smooth daily office operations and a professional first point of contact for clients, suppliers, and staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
- 3–5 years’ experience in a receptionist or administrative role
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional telephone etiquette and customer service approach
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Reliable, professional, and discreet
Key Responsibilities
- Manage reception and switchboard professionally
- Welcome and assist visitors, clients, and suppliers
- Handle incoming/outgoing calls, emails, mail, and courier services
- Maintain a professional reception area
- Schedule meetings and manage meeting room bookings
- Perform general administrative duties (filing, scanning, document control)
- Maintain office supplies and stationery
- Capture and update records and databases accurately
- Support departments with general administrative tasks
- Ensure confidentiality of all company information
- Provide general office support to management and staff
