Our client is one of the major role players in the fruit industry, situated in Grabouw. They are looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join their engineering team.

The ideal candidate should have at least the following:

• Mechanical trade test certificate as a Diesel Mechanic
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a mechanical workshop
• Willing to work shifts and overtime
• Sound technical knowledge of trucks, forklifts and other diesel vehicles
•  Valid Driver’s license (Code EC with a valid PDP or Forklift license will be an advantage).
• Computer literacy
•  Medically fit to perform the duties as a mechanic.

 Duties will include but will not be limited to:

• Responsible for fleet maintenance as per scheduled maintenance plan.
• Fault finding. 
• Adhere to safe working procedures
• Log job cards on the system
• Attend to breakdowns if and when required
• Any other duties that may be required
