An established Equipment supplier to the Turf Industry is seeking a young and ambitious Field Services Representative to provide mechanical support on turf equipment as well as upselling to customers, with the aim to ensure customer satisfaction and develop the business on a national basis.

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have completed a National Senior Certificate
• A mechanical qualification will be ideal
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform repairs and servicing of machinery are important for this role
• Previous experience and proven ability to service clients, with the aim to develop the business is essential
• Prior experience in the turf industry is highly desirable
• Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative in problem-solving situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interactions.
• Willingness to collaborate with greenkeepers and other team members to achieve goals.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, preferably a Code 10 with a PDP, with reliable transport to get to work, and be willing to travel to clients on national basis (using a company vehicle)

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing technical and mechanical assistance for turf equipment, including repairs and servicing.
• Performing on-site troubleshooting and problem-solving for equipment issues.
• Conducting regular maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborating with greenkeepers to understand their equipment needs and provide support accordingly.
• Assisting in the levelling of greens using specialized equipment.
• Actively engaging in upselling activities to existing clients, identifying opportunities for additional sales.
• Cultivating and maintaining relationships with current clients while actively seeking new opportunities for business growth.
• Representing the company professionally in client interactions and meetings.
• Travelling nationally to client locations as needed for on-site assistance and sales activities.
• Working independently and proactively to identify and address customer needs and equipment issues.
• Upholding company standards for quality service and customer satisfaction.
