A premier equestrian facility dedicated to organic and sustainable practices is seeking the above to manage operations including supplier coordination, staff supervision, and budget planning as well as overseeing projects, stock control, and guest relations across hospitality, construction, and equestrian activities.

Minimum requirements for the role:
  • Must have a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Experience in hospitality, especially on a farm with diverse income streams, is highly beneficial
  • Practical and handyman skills is advantageous
  • Must be organically and eco-friendly inclined
  • Passion to grow the farm and implement ideas
  • Must be proficient in English and understand or speak Afrikaans
  • People management and management experience, as well as strong administration and time management skills, are essential

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating with suppliers for maintenance.
  • Liaising with the owner in Germany for monthly budget planning.
  • Managing the staff (team of 7) in human resources.
  • Handling general administration.
  • Planning and delegating tasks to the team and then following up.
  • Reading meters for water and electricity usage.
  • Controlling stock.
  • Gaining construction experience by completing apartments and glamping tents.
  • Overseeing the hospitality manager for guest accommodation.
  • Managing projects and implementing ideas.
  • Managing contractors.
  • Running and overseeing livestock, farming tunnels, the equestrian business, stables, hospitality, and the hotel.
  • Maintaining guest relations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
