A well-established manufacturer of agrochemicals is seeking the above to ensure the swift export of products in compliance with all regulatory, transport and financial requirements.

Minimum requirements for the role:
  • Must have a Diploma in Logistics, Procurement, Operations and/or Supply Chain
  • Minimum 3 years’ Exports experience will be required
  • Experience in the agricultural chemical industry is advantageous
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational skills and customer interaction abilities are essential
  • Must be computer literate in MS Office with working knowledge of Syspro
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, have own reliable transport and be medically fit to drive to different warehouses

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and processing pro-forma invoices as well as order requests.
  • Generating stock and non-stock purchase orders.
  • Liaising with internal and external suppliers regarding stock availability and lead times.
  • Preparing stock production requisitions.
  • Expediting of production orders.
  • Communicating with all stakeholders on status of orders.
  • Preparing reports on sales, production, and shipments.
  • Requesting transport quotes and arranging insurance cover.
  • Liaising with clearing and freight forwarders with regards to freight rates, bookings, stock collection and tracking.
  • Understanding of Foreign Exchange Contracts (FEC) and requesting purchasing thereof.
  • Preparing and finalizing all relevant export documentation in compliance with SARS regulations.
  • Organizing logistics and pallet planning for all modes of transport (land, air, sea).
  • Overseeing the planning and packing of containers.
  • Reviewing and updating all allocated export procedures.
  • Staying up to date with legal and regulatory issues relating to Exports.
  • Maintaining internal controls and ensuring compliance thereof.
  • Understanding and appreciating the importance of customer satisfaction and responding to this accordingly.
  • Possessing the ability to solve problems systematically.
  • Complying with all safety regulations as per company policy in areas of responsibility.
  • Compiling and preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for Management review.
  • Adhering to all internal control policies as directed by Management.
  • Undertaking any legal ad hoc tasks for which the incumbent is competent as directed by Management.
  • Conducting monthly stock takes and reconciliations.
  • Investigating customer complaints.
