The purpose of a Draughtsperson-Process is to produce Block, Process Flow and Mechanical & Instrumentation diagrams for projects in a process engineering design and construction environment.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 10 years – AutoCAD, Plant 3D (Piping & Instrumentation diagrams) Process draughting (Block, Process Flow and Mechanical & Instrumentation diagrams) on process engineering related projects which includes Mechanical, Electrical, Control and Instrumentation disciplines
Database management
Exposure to site and workshop environment
 
Good understanding of the engineering and manufacturing industry.
Piping – process drafting of piping systems to ISA standards
Mechanical – process drafting of equipment to ISA standards
Electrical, Control and Instrumentation - process drafting of control philosophy to ISA standards
Drawing office standard practise
 
To generate a conceptual design for Block and Process Flow diagrams according to client specifications within agreed timeframe.
To generate a detail design for Process Flow and Piping & Instrumentation diagrams according to client specifications within agreed timeframe.
To generate and maintain Piping, Equipment, Valve & Instrumentation schedules as an output of intelligent Piping and Instrumentation diagrams according to client specifications within agreed timeframe.
Manage time and responsibilities on an ongoing basis within key deadlines according to own KPA’s and KPI’s and all company policies and procedures.
Review and check trainee process draughtsperson’s drawings
