Key Accounts Manager – Mining (Wadeville / Rustenburg)
Qualifications
- Matric
- Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Mechanical or Mining, or a relevant business-related qualification
Requirements
- Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in key account management or technical sales within the mining or bulk materials handling industry
- Proven experience in selling underground mining equipment (highly advantageous)
- Sound understanding of mining operations, particularly extraction systems and maintenance practices
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively to mining sites
Duties
- Develop, manage, and grow relationships with strategic mining clients, including plant managers, procurement teams, and maintenance personnel
- Promote and sell underground steel mining equipment
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and actively pursue new mining clients
- Conduct regular site visits to assess operational needs and recommend suitable technical solutions
- Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to ensure solutions meet customer specifications and expectations
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and tender submissions
- Monitor competitor activity, market conditions, and industry trends
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and key performance indicators
- Provide effective after-sales support and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
