The successful incumbent will be responsible for responsible for selling and promoting new electric motors.  Quote customers on the supply of electric motors, gearboxes, and VSD.
Qualification
  • Matric
  • Technical or Mechanical Qualification will be an advantage
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year sales experience within the electric motor industry is essential
  • Extensive traveling,  position may require out of town travel
Duties
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segments, to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
  • Make telephone calls and in person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  • Research of market segments & territories, in a view to identify prospective customers and their potential.
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Coordinate sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
  • Create and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value           opportunities.
  • Identify advantages and compare organization’s product / services.
  • Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the return of time investment for the territory/segment.
  • Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical areas.
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Monthly and weekly reports on sales.
  • Checking orders and booking reports to ensure all invoices has been done.
  • Follow up of all enquiries and quotations.
