SHEQ Officer

Qualification

• Matric
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Environmental Health, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field would be an advantage

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a SHEQ role within the food industry
• Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001 / FSSC 22000)
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience with food manufacturing audits and regulatory inspections
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Duties

• Management of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality system
• Risk management and ensure that legal compliance is maintained in all SHEQ matters
• Conducting incident/accident investigations
• Training and development of employees in SHEQ principles
• Management of health and safety representatives and committees
• Preparation for and auditing of quality assurance systems (FSSC 22000/ISO 9001)
• Management of PPE
